I say that because everyone always comes up with new year's resolutions at this time of year. Really, we should make true lifestyle changes - ones that last more than just a year. So this Jan 1 make a new decade resolution, not just a new year resolution.
I always say that instead of going on a diet a person should just have a diet. Instead of going on a 90 day fitness program, make a true lifestyle change that is permanent. Remember that true long lasting meaningful change, and getting the results you want, takes time. And usually it takes a long time. Think in terms of the next decade and where you want to be in 2020, not just in terms of tomorrow or next week or just this year.
This marks the first blog post that I wrote while actually at the gym. I'm doing cardio right now. I took a picture - and I will see about how to post it later.
Good luck making your new decade resolutions! -cb
